In our target markets we offer formulated products that are cost-effective. Typically we work closely with our customer to engineer solutions tailored to meet their specific needs. In most cases the desirable properties of Silicon Nitride, Silicon Oxycarbide and Silicon Carbide can be achieved at the required cost / performance point:
Matrix materials for CMC (Ceramic Matrix Composite) and PMC (Polymer Matrix Composite) fabrication that meet desired weight, toughness, wear, corrosion, chemical resistance, electrical and thermal properties( 400oC to >1,000oC). These matrix materials are compatible with a wide range of high temperature fibers: carbon, glass, ceramic as well as common powders used as fillers.
TPS (Thermal Protection System) coatings that when formulated based on our technology show excellent adhesion to metal and organic substrates providing thermal (> 1,000oC) , wear and corrosion resistance.
Fiber coatings that deliver the desired properties for CMC and PMC fabrication.
Clear coatings that offer desired optical, scratch and photo-chromatic characteristics. They are easily adapted to common application and curing processes.
Additives to improve the thermal stability of common organic resin systems (polyester, epoxy, urethanes) while maintaining typical strength, modulus and toughness properties.
Foamed material systems with low density, high strength, low thermal expansion coefficient, and high thermal stability. Useful materials for TPS.
Performance Chemicals; CLC'sTM ( Cross Linking Catalysts) for ease of curing at low temperatures ( 100 to 300oC). Source materials for vapor phase formed thin films, coatings and nano-products. Chemical synthesis intermediates.
